With film production distributed throughout the country in an unprecedented way, it's time that we address the incredible wage and benefits disparity between the different locals.
Caused by inferior contracts put into place under the pretext of local area standards, workers are consigned to work in those areas at a significant wage cut while workers from the bigger film markets lose more and more jobs. This holds true regardless of the budget of the project.
The only way out of this downward wage spiral is to UNITE!
