We constantly hear about street racing that has gone horribly wrong, usually it's an innocent victim that has been killed.
The Australian people need to send a message to the government that we are sick and tired of these hoons getting off with either a slap on the hand, loss of licence or a fine. There needs to be changes in the law to send a message to each idiot thinking of street racing in their car or motorbike.
Lets show the government that we are sick of this reckless and abhorrent behaviour with total lack of respect for human life. They are only sorry, when it's too late or they've been caught.
I propose a change of the laws:
1. If you are convicted of street racing and you have killed someone, you are automatically charged with Negligent Homicide.
2. Loss of a drivers licence for you natural life, which includes other states. The person they killed can't drive anymore, so why should they?
3. If you injure someone because of your actions, Your vehicle gets impounded, sold and the proceeds to the victim.
4. If you hit someone, and drive away and that person dies, you will be charged with murder. Because if you had stopped to assist, that victim may have survived.
5. If you are the "other car drag racing" you will be charged with being an accessory to the crime and face the same penalties.
6. Mandatory prison terms of not less than 10 Years for any death caused by street racing.
