The residents of Heritage Harbor, Stonebrier and other taxpayers are in full support of Centex Homes' request to eliminate the connection of the Heritage Harbor and Stonebrier communities.

The Centex/Stonebrier development plan has changed drastically since Centex broke ground. Phase 5 of Stonebrier will not be built. At least one-third mile of road beginning at the annex and moving into Stonebrier will have NO DEVELOPMENT whatsoever and will be classified as a conservation area.

The road is not needed as a connector road, because two (2) new North-South roads are to be built, or are in the process of being built. The Veterans Expressway's Lutz Lake-Fern Road interchange is almost completed and Sun Lake Blvd. is to be extended to Pasco County. Both of these roads are within one mile of Heritage Harbor.

The residents of Heritage Harbor and Stonebrier are also concerned about the safety issues that will result with the extension. These safety issues include increased traffic that will endanger the lives of our children who walk and ride their bicycles in the community.

The increased traffic in the community will also reduce home values in an already fragile real estate market. The lower property values would also impact the County's revenue and ability to police the new extension. The Road to Nowhere will ALSO provide a 1/3 mile stretch of unsupervised road for juveniles to congregate.

We, the undersigned, hereby call on the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners to support Centex Homes' request to eliminate the internal connection road from Heritage Harbor Parkway through Stonebrier to Sunlake Boulevard in Lutz, FL.

The Heritage Harbor Parkway Extension-Stop The Road to Nowhere petition to Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners was written by HeritageHarborResidents1 and is in the category Government at GoPetition.
