We are a church and a community centre on a busy council estate. The Church is on a very busy Road and we have activities for children and young people attending 7 days a week. It is a dangerous road and we have seen a lot of near misses with the youngsters on the road.
We work in partnerships with many big organisations like the police, fire and rescue, youth services etc and in the year we have been open we have seen a 75% reduction in anti social behaviour, deliberate fires fall from 77 to 44 and a 50% in malicious phone calls saving the fire service over £300,000.
A zebra crossing is essential for us to continue our work to provide a fun and safe service
We, the undersigned, call on the residents of Breighmet to help us to make the council see we need a zebra crossing on Winchester Way outside of Breighmet Community Church so we can continue to offer fun and safe activities for all ages of the community seven days a week.
