We, the undersigned, do hereby plead to our First Lady, Mrs. Michelle Obama, as a mother of two young girls, to lift the visa retrogression that began in December 2010 which is affecting family based immigrant visa petitions.
The retrogression has shaken up millions of relatives of American citizens who have been waiting for many agonizing years to reunite with their families. We are longing to celebrate their birthdays, weddings and special occasions with our family members; moreover, it is a challenge for an American citizen to travel to the countries where their relatives reside.
This retrogression process is keeping families in limbo and both sides are being tormented emotionally.
