Saskatchewan has had a law that has ban the ownership of all boas and pythons since 1985. This law is severely outdated and even is worded incorrectly calling that all reptile and amphibians that are venomous are ban as well. However toads are sold in store and other mildly poisonous animals.

This is the only provice in Canada where it is illegal to own boas and pythons. This severely restricts what people can own in Saskatchewan. If any are found to be illegally kept are either found a new home in a zoo out of province by the government or euthanized.

We, the undersigned, petition the Saskatchewan parliment not lift the ban on boas and reptile species but revise the banned species list.

This revised law will allow the sale and ownership of smaller boas and pythons under ten feet. This include species such as the red tailed boa, green tree python, ball pythons, carpet pythons, rosy boas, common boa constrictions, ect. However still keeping a restrictions on any species of snakes that grow over ten feet such as Burmese pythons, African rock pythons, reticulated pythons, anacondas, ect.

Also relax it to allow captive bred dart frogs, toads, emperor scorpions, and a wider verity of tarantulas.
