Every hour, a student is being injured or killed after being hit by a car in the United States.
In 2012, 284 students died and over 10,000 were injured. 1,000 students were surveyed and forty percent reported being hit or almost hit by either a car, motorcycle, or bicycle; they were then asked what happened and ten percent reported that the driver was not paying attention.
We, the undersigned, demand that the Folsom Cordova Unified School District School Board heightens security measures for the school zones within its jurisdiction.
