Tom Rains has been in this position for 11 years and has never once been on any kind of warning of any kind.
He has done his job with the utmost professionalism, compassion, understanding and caring for one and all.
He is a man who stands by his coaching staff, cares deeply for the athletes and respects the parents.
As concerned students, parents, staff and community members of District 49 and concerned supporters outside the district, we would like for the BOE and the Superintendent to reevaluate their decision to reassign our current Athletic Director at Falcon High School, Tom Rains.
We encourage the BOE to reopen the investigation with a new open minded committee based on truths and hard evidence.
We further stress that all levels; parents, athletes and coaches, need to have input and the BOE should listen with open ears.
