University of Guelph gives entrance scholarships to people with high enough grades going to the Humber campus in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. Nowhere does it say that you need to be full time in the fall semester to receive it in the winter semester. In fact, everything was fine in the fall semester, which gave false hope and then shock for what came next. Exactly a week after tuition was due and 17 days before the unenrolment date, the university sent out an email saying that they're taking away entrance scholarships to part-time students. There was no prior warning. How are students supposed to come up with $1500 in 17 days? That's about $89/ day or $618/ week, just because the university decided last minute to take away the money they promised. A promise that probably attracted a lot of people in the first place. If you were disabled, you could get your adviser to send an email. For those who couldn't come up with the money or aren't disabled, which is the vast majority, you had to pay an extra $60 to pay in 3 installments throughout February, which is still a very short amount of time for a student to come up with $1560.

We, the students and supporters, call upon the University of Guelph to refund the scholarships that were unrightfully taken away at the last minute for the students at the Humber campus.
