Goverment Funding Of Early Learning Center

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Early Learning Centre is a centre funded by the government to help children between the ages of 3 - 5 who have learning disabilities. Many of the young children that attend the early learning centre have been exposed to physical, mental and/or sexual abuse. The centre however helps these children and gives them a positive experiences everyday. The centre picks the children up everyday from the camps and houses they live in and get to the centre at around 10;30. They then eat a healthy breakfast which is provided by the centre and then participate in fun educational games. Most of these children have low literacy skills, a lack of nutritional food, and low amounts of physical activity. The children are given lunch and afternoon tea, which for a lot of the children is the only nutritional food that the children eat each day. The children are able to participate in physical education and interact with children their age. The children are then dropped off back at home by the centre. However, the centre is under the prospect of being closed down. Government funding for the centre is going to be cut if we don't do something about it.
