While Congress continues to debate a global warming bill, we can lead the way in CT by investing in solar power. Environment CT came very close to passing a Solar Bill last session, and with our help, we can pass the bill this spring.
The Go Solar Connecticut campaign is working to pass this legislation restructuring Connecticut’s solar power incentives to build over 300 megawatts of solar power, the equivalent of up to 100,000 solar powered homes statewide.
The solar power generated would help cut Connecticut’s global warming pollution by the equivalent of taking 500,000 cars off our roads. It would also support over 3,000 “green jobs” supporting solar power in Connecticut over the next decade.
We, the undersigned, call on the Connecticut State Senate to pass the Connecticut Solar Bill and make the state a national leader in renewable energy.
