The wake of the 9/11 attacks left abundant evidence to our naked eyes that things are not as we were told (a quick internet search will find this for you).

The implication that so much evidence could be so contrary to what government and media portray, is that there is something horribly and urgently wrong with our government and news media.

Look around you. Our air has been polluted, our water has been polluted, our airwaves have been polluted, our food has been genetically and chemically polluted, natural health remedies have been oppressed, government spending is out of control, government solvency has become no longer expected, law and justice have become two separate things, and wars no longer require a logical reason for starting.

Our economy is in tatters, despite the fact that we ought to be extremely prosperous. We have the most advanced technology the world has ever seen. We can produce more with less effort than at any time in history. It should be easy or us to all be living rich and working little.

Our democracy is in even worse shape. No matter how we try to be heard there seems a way to ignore us. Elected politicians don't have to keep their election promises no matter how clear, causing voters to get despondent. Protests we might organize don't have to be recognized no matter how big. Letters don't have to be heeded no matter how many. The ability for government to ignore our wishes has become ridiculous.

We need good government to survive and prosper. We depend on their responsible and wise administration for our prosperity, our rights, and our planet. It is a worthwhile aim: there is so much trickle-down effect from good or bad government that you should not ignore it as an activist for almost any cause. Many issues can be solved easily by one change in law.

There is a way we can have good government without violence, which cannot be ignored. It is to simply use the God-given force of prayer.

Though often mocked by the unbelieving and unspiritual, prayer is a form of spiritual force which causes real change. It was used successfully, even as just prayer alone, to bring victory in many battles and political crises in history (one example is 2 Chronicles chapter 20 in the Bible).

I am asking people worldwide to partner with me in offering 1 minute of prayer to God the Creator each day for good government in the world (by "good" I mean officials who discharge their offices for the benefit and prosperity of those they are elected or appointed to serve, instead of their own benefit or that of a third party).

It is easy to fit a minute of prayer in during so many moments of the day, eg.: traveling, commercials, cooking, waking up, or before bed. For those who care, it's no burden at all.

And if many people do it every day the spiritual force will be very great.

We will petition God.

1 Timothy 2 (KJV):
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty."

Psalm 20:5 (KJV): "We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions."

We the undersigned promise to pray and petition 1 minute each day, to God the Creator, for good government in the world.
