Most other religions get a day off for there major and minor holidays. For example, Rosh Hanusha gets two days off, the Chinese new year gets a day off, Christmas gets two weeks off, and Easter gets a week off. If all these other religions get time off of school for their holidays why can't Muslims get Eid off?
Schools should get a day or maybe two off for Eid. This year (2017-2018) Eid al Fitr will possibly happen on June 14th (the date has not been confirmed yet). Which means that Eid will be during the school year. I would like that this Eid (or maybe the next) students that go to public schools of Edison Township have a day off for school. Kids should be able to spend the day of Eid with their family without having to worry about missing school or making up school work. To accomplish this, we should have Eid off.
