I have worked for local Finley company Bickley's Bus Service for the last five years. I was born and bred in Finley, I am a local. I am an honest, hardworking person. Bickley's Bus service has been closed down. The family can't talk at the moment because their hands are tied until the legal process is finished.
Bickley's are decent, hardworking people that have been good to the families and children in our community. The serious breach that is alleged, they were fined for in court. This is a second attempt at the initial fine. That isn't right. They have paid the price once, why should they pay it twice.
Our community will suffer from this decision. Money that has been spent in town for the last ten years will disappear. Can our community really afford to lose any other business or infrastructure?
We, the undersigned, are in total disagreement with the action taken and call on The Ministry of Transport and RMS to restore Bickley's Bus Service School Bus contracts, to Bickley's Bus Service.
