The school administration of Glenwood Springs has completely neglected their responsibility to the safety and well-being of their students, by allowing a registered sex offender with a restraining order to still attend. Through allowing this behavior to go unpunished they have shown us that we do not matter, and they will continue to side with perpetrators of sexual offense. This heinous neglect has caused disrupt to the educational environment that should be fostered, and has invalidated the law and the district handbook under ACAA-R, as well as the livelihood of students and their trust in the ethics of the administration.
We, the undersigned, call on the school administration to expel a convicted rapist and sex offender from the school premises. We will not allow this repugnant crime to go unpunished, we side with the victim, and refuse to permit the allowance of his actions. No one should have to see their rapist daily in what should be an educational and safe environment.
