Get fracking UK

I'm a in strong support of fracking for shale and methane gas on a large sale (and would welcome it where I live in Nottingham), not only because reserves of North sea gas becoming depleted, but also because one can't simply rely on renewable energy sources and nuclear for our energy reserves including electricity.

It would be madness not to frack for methane gas (from coal bed methane) since the U.K (including Notts) have extensive ares of coal bed methane just sitting there and not being tapped into, when virtually no coal being extracted or utilised after the demise of the coal industry decades ago, (which resulted in the loss of thousands of jobs - effects of which can still be seen in north Notts and other ares of England and U.K).

In addition the U.K has deeper and more extensive ares of shale gas reserves than the U.SA - and just letting them just sit underground in north Nottinghamshire and U.K would be to deny the creation of thousands of jobs and deny householders cheaper gas and electricity bills (by not using our own our huge gas energy sources) and the fact that we will keep having to import shale gas from the U.S.A, via ships if we don't use what we have got.
