Dolly is a miniature Shetland pony, she was been abandoned in the fields surround Coldean for around 8 weeks. Originally dumped with 5 other horses, the rest of Dolly’s herd were stolen, but unable to catch Little Dolly she was left alone to fend for herself.
She has obviously experienced some cruel treatment and was incredibly nervous around people. When I first saw Dolly we couldn’t get anywhere near her, but over the last eight weeks I have been visiting Dolly most days, and my patience really paid off. With carrots and compassion I was able to get Dolly to trust me. She would trot over to greet me and neigh when she saw me.
Things were going well for Dolly when she was offered a home with people who would love and care for her. There were even plans for DOLLY to become a therapy horse.
But sadly before Dolly could get to her new home she was seized. The organisation that is holding her are unable to tell me where she is. They promise to let us know how she’s doing but her care is now out of our hands, all we want is to get Dolly re-homed ASAP.
There is a cosy stable and secure paddock with Dolly’s name on it please help us get her home.
