Biphenol A (also known as BPA), is a substance that is often contained in plastic that is used to make a variety of products including baby bottles.
Scientific evidence has shown that this substance is carcinogenic and causes other diseases such as obesity, heart disease and even brain damage.
This substance has been outlawed in a number of countries in Europe and Canada, however, companies in Australia are merely offered the chance to voluntarily refrain from using the substance in their products.
I am calling for a demand for the use of BPA in Australia to be completely outlawed due to increasing evidence of it's harmful effects.
