Per the direction of AFMC, we have now initiated planning for more austere actions. Some of those actions include a potential civilian furlough, reductions to the number of hours/dollars we spend on flight operations, and basically funding reductions across the board.
At this time, I do not know when and to what extent these actions will take place, but some additional reductions may occur as soon as 1 March.
Should a furlough be directed, the current plan calls for the furlough of all DoD appropriated fund civilians 1 day per week up to 22 weeks.
We, the undersigned, call on the President of the United States, to request US Congressmen, Senators and himself to give up 1 day pay every week.
