NC General Assembly
United States of America

As many of you know, North Carolina is in a budget crisis. Schools are being asked to cut their budgets AGAIN for the third year in a row. In fact, Forsyth County Schools could be required to cut as much as 38 million dollars.

What does that mean for you and your children? It means larger class sizes, no assistants, no reading teachers, no technology funding, fewer specialists, and shared guidance counselors. When NC already ranks 44th in the nation in spending on education, can we really afford to cut spending again?

Let's join together and tell our NC General Assembly and Beverly Perdue to FUND EDUCATION FIRST!

We, the undersigned, call on the NC General Assembly and Governor Beverley Perdue to FUND EDUCATION FIRST! Our children deserve the best education possible.

Cutting our education budget means cutting their future!
