Widewater Village is a "gated" community located in Stafford County, Virginia. The cable service was owned/managed by the community developer who has since sold the company aka Widewater Cable Servcie.

The cable service has been substandard since inception and although community members have been complaining the issues of providing quality cable services has not be resolved. Residents must continue to pay for their current cable service even if they use it or not for 35 years.

Homeowners in the community continue to pay for the cable service and currently have no other option but to buy additional service from Verizon or Dish Network while they continue to pay for Widewater Village Cable Service.

The majority of the member of the Home Owners Association would like to see competition for quality cable services and have the option to select a provide that meet their need.

We, the undersigned, wish to express our concern with the Federal Communication Commission and our elected officials with our dissatisfaction with our current "mandatory" cable service and our need for cable competition in the Widewater Village Community.

The current cable service is substandard and the lack of competition limits services to the community members.

We therefore ask that the new FCC and our elected representative assist in resolving this problem that has been negatively impacting our community of 450 households in order to provide better cable service and promote competition amoung cable providers that will result in CHOICES for the residents of Widewater Village at Stafford.
