New Trier students should be free (with parental consent) to choose whether or not to attend the all-school “Seminar Day" on February 28th. If excused by a parent they should experience no repercussions for their choice, including participation in extracurricular activities that day or otherwise, teacher recommendations, attendance records, or academic standing.
This is a reasonable accommodation for those who have content concerns pertaining to this non-academic instruction day.
