WHEREAS: Iranian journalist Sajedeh Arabsorkhi is a prisoner of conscience arrested solely for the peaceful pursuit of her career as an independent journalist and her rights to freedom of expression;

AND WHEREAS: Her conviction and imprisonment are thus ILLEGAL under Articles 18 and 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (to which Iran is a signatory) as well as Article 24 of the Iranian Constitution;

THEREFORE: We, the undersigned, demand that the international community at all levels bring all possible pressure to bear upon the Islamic Republic of Iran to IMMEDIATELY and UNCONDITIONALLY release Sajedeh Arabsorkhi, reverse her illegal condition and drop all charges against her.
