Colton Calhoun is in prison in the state of Oregon. A state that does not require DNA, or a hospital report. Where the alleged victim does not have to know the date of the incident or the month. Within a 3 month period and back six years.
Colton Calhoun now 23 was arrested at age 19 and charged with rape, a crime he absolutely did not commit (his lawyer has numerous testimony from witnesses to prove this) Colton was convicted and sentenced to 100 months in prison.
Colton did know this girl, but had told her he did not want to be with her. (REJECTION DOES SEEM TO BE A MOTIVE.)
She told several people she would get even (sworn testimony on file).
There are statements she accused Colton as a means of getting out of trouble with her dad. (instant revenge )
This girl has in the past yelled rape on other guys that dumped her.
As for the trial the DA charged Colton's witness with several sexually related crimes and then gave that witness immunity if he didn't testify for Colton.
For reasons we still do not know, Colton's attorney choose not to use the witness statements Colton's private investigator had accumulated. SHE also did not let Colton take the stand in his own defense. (our mistake)
He is inside and won’t be released until 2012. No gain-time for good behavior at all.
It is bad enough to be convicted and have done this horrendous crime.
Imagine your son, grandson being in prison for something they did not and vehemently deny?
Colton's family have spent thousands of dollars trying to bring justice to this matter.

We the undersigned demand the immediate release of Colton Calhoun;
We the undersigned demand a new trial be provided the accused;
We the undersigned demand Oregon State Legislators review the Laws in force in Oregon on Rape and Sexual abuse to ensure they do not provide the accuser with the ability to use said laws to “get-even” or vengeful with an individual they have been associated with;
We the undersigned along with Colton Calhoun agree rape is a horrendous crime and agree the perpetrator of such a crime deserves to be punished;
We the undersigned demand both parties be dealt with fairly, that is the Laws in the State of Oregon must not provide an unfair advantage to one against another in attempting to protect one from this horrendous crime;
We the undersigned demand the Laws in the State of Oregon provide the Courts with means to punish an individual who uses the Law in a vengeful manner, that is the perpetrator must also be prepared to serve the same punishment as the accused if found guilty by a Court of their peers.
