Family planning has come a long way… “Beginning Aug. 1, 2012, all private insurance plans will be required to cover women's preventive services without a co-pay or deductible. The move is intended to help women have the chance to stop health problems before they start.

Beginning one year from today (which will be Jan 2013) will be co-pay or deductible-free well-woman visits, screening for gestational diabetes, breast-feeding support, domestic violence screening and all FDA approved birth control methods -- including emergency contraception such as the morning-after pill.”(Pereira)

My proposal is to get another bill passed that looks just like this one, only it’s for the uninsured woman.

Uninsured women shouldn't be forced to buy health insurance because the law requires them to. Many people can't afford health insurance but are desperate for birth control options.

I want to enable health care facilities to provide one free form of birth control: the pill. If women choose another option of birth control they will pay a small fee.

Sign this petition for free birth control pills for the uninsured woman.
