Where have the days gone where the Bulls were actually respectable? Where are the days when you could actually expect to turn on CSN-Chicago and watch a Bulls team fight for 48 minutes? From 2010-2015, the Chicago Bulls were considered the cream of the crop in the Eastern Conference prided on defense and grit. Now it's unbeknownst to me the thought process of an organization to first and foremost fire a coach with a combined record of 255-139, then sign an unproven college coach with a strictly offensive mind...are we forgetting defense wins championships? It's evident the front office wants complete control of the organization and that was evident with the firing of Tom Thibodeau. Coach "Thibs" was the only coach who had a clear cut plan on the direction of the team, which was to specifically bring in players who could play defense but were also blue collar guys. We can definitively say each guy on the Bulls roster from 2010-2015 brought their hard hat and lunch pail each and every night...we knew what to expect because they had a true identity. However, it's unclear what the identity of this Bulls team is and this is directly correlated to where it starts, the front office.
Every year it seems as if Gar Forman and John Paxson continuously make nonsensical decisions that adversely effect the direction of this proud franchise. As a fan base, who are almost solely responsible for generating the majority of the revenue, conscious decisions have to be made to one stay competitive in the division, and two keep putting bodies in those seats. First it was our beloved Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, now it's Taj Gibson and Doug Mcdermott. When is the madness going to end! I'm convinced these two head-cases are trying to sabotage this organization before they are given the "exit stage left" direction by Jerry Reinsdorf. I am sick and tired of watching players who strongly contribute to this teams success being let go for nothing more than a two piece chicken and a biscuit. First you fire a former coach of the year, hire a soft teddy bear of a head coach, then let four key pieces go in the past two years for nothing! In order for the Bulls to progress, first and foremost, Gar and Pax need to go and this needs to be effective immediately.
