As fans of the Anaheim Ducks, we've stood for mediocrity for too long. Bob Murray must be removed as the General Manager of the team.
Murray has been able to keep his job so far because of situations that looked upon him favorably. Most notable of those being Corey Perry's MVP, the change of coaches from Randy Carlyle to Bruce Boudreau, and the strong draft picks.
However for every positive there are series of negatives: the bust of Andrew Cogliano; allowing Francois Beauchemin to walk away, only to acquire him again at a higher price; the recent signing of Sheldon Souray; and the destruction of the relationship between organization and Bobby Ryan.
This can no longer be tolerated or supported.
Mr. & Mrs. Samueli,
The signatures below are all from Anaheim Ducks fans that love their team, and cannot stand to see it destroyed any longer. We want this team to succeed.
We want to be Southern California's dominant team.
We want you to make money to reinvest in the franchise, instead of going into your own pocket. To do all of this, we can no longer be lead by Bob Murray.
His track-record speaks for itself. The Chicago Blackhawks took years to rebuild after he dismantled their team. This organization is going down the same path. Now the Ducks are unable to attract high value free agents to the team - even though they have plenty of cash to spend.
As paying fans of the Ducks, the ones that show up to games, buy the merchandise, and proudly support our team, we ask you to consider this petition.
