Metastatic breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, and yet we have no national approach to curing this disease, which kills tens of thousands of women every year in the U.S. alone, and over 500,000 worldwide.
The various institutions which research the disease are not powerful enough to find a cure on their own. We need a national and/or worldwide sponsored project to fund and oversee research for a cure that would be in the public domain.
Such a cure would more than pay for itself in savings for healthcare costs, and is the humane thing to do.
We, the undersigned, call on the Congress and worldwide Parliaments to fund major research for the cure of metastatic breast cancer, as a national or international project- ASAP.
