Mortgage Brokers are not covered by legislation in Qld. Other states have legislation regulating how a finance broker operates.
If you are committed to a loan document by a broker who has not completed the transaction for you clearly and you seek recourse you have to go through testy complaint processes and you may not come out fully reimbursed for your time and trouble. If you have had a bad experience let us know so we can appeal to government to bring in legislation now !
This topic has been discussed for years. I am particularly interested in your story if you would share it. Have you beeen sent broke, lost family, struggle to meet committments because of a transaction you have made with a finance broker ? Let me know.
