Federal System In Lebanon

Petition to demand the establishment of a federal system in Lebanon

As a Lebanese citizen who is committed to all my constitutional rights, I demand the establishment of a federal system in Lebanon, because:

1- I know that the Lebanese people are multi-sectarian and deserve a constitutional system that takes into account the nature of its composition, And practically dedicate the principle of equality or 50/50

2- I am fully aware that the Lebanese people are based on the plural secularity and consequently this require a system which may respect and consider this plurality by devoting equivalence.

3- I know that the sectarian cantons that make up the state do not necessarily adopt any religious system, but are dominated by the civic will that is formed by the majority of society.

4- I want to achieve justice, equality, freedom and prosperity for all Lebanese, both in terms of individual and Socio-cultural identities.

5- I want to adhere to the Lebanese entity, with its recognized borders, its unified army, its unified currency, and its unified foreign policy, which adopts and consider neutrality.

6- I want to be free from any extortion imposed by the goals of sectarian fighting, the social energy is directed towards development and accountability without fear of the formative political groups to lose their guarantees.

7- I do not want to impose on any sectarian party its civilizational, military, ideological or social perceptions, but rather a system that allows the coexistence of conflicting interests, different values, and heterogeneous concepts.

8- I want a system that allows the distribution of powers, presidencies and functions to all communities equally among them on the basis of competence and merit, without any exclusivity regardless of demographic numbers.

*This petition is organized at the initiative of Continual Federal Congress and within the scope of the functions of the Congress and its individual responsibilities, and therefore is irrelevant to any other political entity or party .
