Target:
Mayor Michael Hancock

United States of America

In 2005, the city council and Mayor Hickenlooper approved a ten year plan to end and prevent homelessness in Denver, Colorado. The plan has helped many homeless people and families.

The goals of the plan are to help people find homes, make more shelters available, provide resources like healthcare, preventing homelessness, teaching people about homelessness, increasing public safety, and providing educational opportunities and job training.

The plan has been able to add 2,795 new housing opportunities for the homeless. In addition, they have prevented more than 6,199 families and individuals from becoming homeless. The plan has been working but it estimated that there around 11,167 people who are homeless still in Denver. The Plan is supposed to end in 2015. We must make the plan longer.

We ask that the Ten Year Plan To End Homelessness be extended.

We, the undersigned, call on Michael Hancock and The City council to extend the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness.
