Malawi is a country richly endowed with natural resources. Paradoxically, the nation is failing to rid itself of donor dependency notwithstanding its attainment of independence in 1964.
Besides, the people are poorer today than 49 years ago. Strangely few individuals with connections have immensely enriched themselves whilst the masses cannot afford basic needs.
NOW we the undersigned join hands to fight against all forms of smuggling exploitation and looting of our natural resources for the benefit of the ordinary Malawians in rural and peri-urban areas living in abject poverty.
