Throughout history women have been fighting for their rights. They have accomplished a great deal; however we still see in our society that women especially young girls starting at the age of 14 that don't know their rights and don't stand up for themselves.
They are attacked, harrassed and discriminated against occasionally but they have no response. Expanding women's studies in high will help women in our community to know their rights and raise their voice therefore it is essential to be taught through a science class to get not only girls involved in our serious community issues but also guys.
We, the undersigned, call on the board of education in state of Michigan to add Women's Studies material into one of the science classes.
