There are more than 7,000 people missing in Canada and many many unidentified remains sitting in Coroner’s office across Canada. There are also approx. 70,000 unidentified samples obtained from crime scenes that may provide clues as to the fate of a missing person.

An expanded National DNA Database would assist in determining the fate of missing persons; it could also identify serial murders and make our country a safer place.

We, The undersigned Citizens of Canada, Friends and Families of the murdered and missing, deserve the Right and Respect of knowing the fate of our loved ones.

DNA identification is a critical tool toward this goal; We ask that our Government expand our National DNA Database and allow investigators to collect DNA from our missing persons close relatives and compare it to DNA from crime scenes and unidentified human remains.
