In the Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy handbook "Dress Code Policy" section it states that, "Girls may wear one earring per ear grades K – 8. Girls are allowed to wear up to 3 earrings per ear grades 9 - 12. Boys are not allowed to wear earrings." The "Dress Code Policy" section of the Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy handbook also states, "BLA’s Dress Code policy has been established to help facilitate the education of our students, to ensure their safety, and to allow for parity among them." Therefor it contradicts itself by saying that the Dress Code policy allows parity among students when females can wear earring but males cannot.

We, the undersigned, call on Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy to allow the equal amount of earring usage for males and females.
