Animal testing has been taking place in the United States since the 1920s. Since then every year, more than 100,000 animals fall victim to these testings. These animals include mice, rats, guinea pigs, monkeys, dogs, cats, and rabbits.
These animals are killed tested not only in company labs, but in laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, chemical, drug, food and cosmetic testing, and even just out of curiosity. These animals aren't being properly taken care of, they are being forced into cages that aren't cleaned properly, and they are socially isolated, and psychologically traumatized. Before these animals are sentenced to an inhumane death, they are forced to inhale toxic fumes; other animals have their skim burned off or their spinal cords crushed.
Some animals are immobilized in restraint devices for hours on end, and some even have holes drilled into their heads. These animals are treated as nothing more than disposable lab equipment. To kill these animals, there isn't a peaceful death; most are put into the world sick and on the edge of death to fend for themselves.
Cosmetic animal testing includes skin and eye irritation tests. This is when chemicals are rubbed on shaved skin or dripped into their eyes; oral force feeding studies lasting several weeks to a month; lethal doses are given, in which animals are given large doses of chemicals to see how much a person would have to intake in order for it to kill them.
We, the undersigned, call upon the FDA to ban the use of animals are chemical and cosmetic testing. These animals are living creatures, just as well as humans.
They don't, however, have a voice to speak up and say that they don't agree with what is happening. We are their voice and we are standing up for their rights. Let these animals free. This is one of the most inhumane acts that has happened in the United States.
We are doing the exact thing that Nazi Germany did to Jewish people during World War ll. There is no difference in the two. We are killing living creatures that have done nothing wrong. We are experimenting on something that doesn't have a chance to speak out for what they believe. What the FDA is allowing is wrong, it is not okay to let this go on.
Since the 1920s, 100,000 animals have died every year since. Does an animal have to die every time Clorox makes a new gallon of bleach? We know how much a person has to intake in order for it to be lethal. It comes down to the point where we are killing animals just to use them as experiments and given them larger and larger doses of these chemicals.
Please stop killing these innocent creatures so that someone can look nice on the outside, or so that someone can smell better.
This has to stop and it has to stop now.
