As a 25 yr old European-American (white) Male I was shocked when I arrived at large book store to search for books about and by other European-Americans. I searched the store finding more than one African-American section and many other special interest sections.
One book store rep. said "there are many books in the store by European-American authors". Perhaps that is so but, there are also many African-American books in the store outside of the African-American section.
It would be nice to see European-American sections in the book stores and if that would be "racist" then so would African-American book sections.
We, as customers, propose and petition in hopes that our visits to your store are more convenient and more accomodative to our needs. We have noticed specific cultural categories and feel that it would be equally beneficial to include an European-American category for easier reference. We hope you will consider our request and include this section of books in your store.
