Petition not needed. Contacted the Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection and they were here almost immediately! It was truly impressive!
Pinellas Lawn Care, Inc. routinely burns logs and tree limbs on their property, which backs up against a residential neighborhood.
The smoke from the fires creates a nuisance for the homeowners living directly behind their property. The smoke causes numerous health ailments including burning eyes, burning throats, irritation of the sinuses and lungs, coughing, and chest and head congestion. Even with the windows closed and central A/C unit running, the homes still fill with the smoke.
The homeowners have called the local Fire Department numerous times to report the nuisance. When the Fire Department responds to the scene, they check everything out and then leave. They say there is nothing they can do to stop the company burning on their property. This is not just a nuisance, it's a genuine health concern for the people living in the immediate area.
We, the undersigned, call on any business located on any part of the property at 2055 Grand Blvd., Holiday, FL, 34690-4546, or doing business as Pinellas Lawn Care, Inc. to cease and desist burning anything, at any time for the health and well-being of the residents living in the immediate area.
