In 2019 there should not be horse carriages being ridden, especially in high volume areas such as downtown St. Augustine. Horse carriages were rode long ago when paved roads weren’t even thought of. These horses suffer every day having to stand & trot for hours on end in the sweltering heat on burning concrete. It’s animal cruelty and they should not be forced to give rides to tourists anymore, regardless of the season. Tourists have so many other means to tour the area. Please help save these poor animals.
