Currently and under the Brevard County School Board volunteer policy, a parent and or volunteer applicant who is denied the right and privilege to enter on school grounds as a registered volunteer has only one course of action to appeal and that is before a sole decision maker.
We the undersigned citizens and registered voters of Brevard County, respectfully request the following proposed amendment to the volunteer policy:
1. To allow applicants who are denied volunteer status, the opportunity to appeal and be heard by and before the school board.
2. To allow a vote by the school board to determine the end result.
