Congress has voted themselves generous pension and life time medical benefits which are out of touch with the average American's experience.
Although they pay into social security as we do, they are making decisions for citizens on social security, tax deferred savings, medical insurance and Medicare without impacting themselves greatly as they have generous pensions paid for with our taxes. I propose we lower our taxes by giving Congress the same benefits they vote for us.
In order to eliminate preferred Congressional pensions and life-time medical, there would need to be a change in federal law approved by Congress. An unlikely event.
But nevertheless we petition for a level playing field. No to preferred treatment given to politicians.
