It is with concern that as residents of Illovo we note an increase in the amount of noise emanating from businesses and their patrons in the area after 1am.
This combined with the illegal parking and often illegal drinking by individuals frequenting these businesses in parking areas causes significant disturbance to the residents peace and poses a safety issue.
As Concerned Residents of Illovo we ask that all residents of Illovo sign this petition to ask JMPD and the City of Johannesburg to enforce the Provincial and by-laws governing noise disturbance in Illovo.
This petition relates to the failure to enforce the following:
- noise abuse as per Regulation 9 of the Noise Control Regulations of Gauteng 1999, (Provincial Gazette, Extraordinary no 75 of August 1999)
