We begin by proposing a charter amendment to elect the Municipal Judge. At present, the Municipal judge is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Commission, which may discharge the Municipal Judge without explanation at any time. We believe that leaves the door open for Corruption.
Also the Oregon City Traffic court is presently not a court of Record, and that needs Reform. There is no appeal process or record in this present system.
We begin by proposing a charter amendment to elect the Municipal Judge and need 2700 + signatures.
