On the 1st May 2004 Easyjet started to fly from Newcastle to Berlin Schonefeld.
From my own experience the planes where nearly full everytime and from what I could see from forums this route was quite popular. In October 2006 Easyjet suspended the route.
I tried to contact their customer service but I didn't receive a reply. Sadly they suspended other routes (to Budapest, Copenhagen and Nice) too and later introduced the route to Nice again.
The majority of destinations from Newcastle are in Spain and it is time to get back some culture.
I want Easyjet to reintroduce the Newcastle-Berlin Schonefeld route because as they claim on their own website Berlin "is fast becoming Europe’s number one city for modern arts.
It has a lively music scene, with a trendy clubbing scene." and this city has so much to offer to nearly everyone.
