You can visit any city in the world and you will always happen across a group of car enthusiasts. Different people enjoy their cars for different reasons. Some modify for looks while others modify for speed.
In Windsor alone, there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of car enthusiasts that love to race. We are forced to travel anywhere for two to five hours just to reach a drag strip (including having to cross the border).
We are in desperate need for our own drag strip.
We, the undersigned, call on the City of Windsor to invest in the building of a drag strip for the use by the car enthusiasts of Windsor/Essex County and surrounding areas.
