It's time to send my petition off to the people remaking The Birds. It won't stop it, but it can let them know we don't appreciate remaking such a masterpiece.

I’ve read on numerous websites that Michael Bay and his production company are going to- or planning to- remake Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece The Birds.
I’m against all remakes but I’m particularly disheartened by this one, as The Birds is one of my all time favourite movies. It is just ridiculous to suggest it needs to be remade and it could never terrify audiences like the original did and still does.
Tippi Hedren, who played Melanie Daniels, has said: ''It's appalling, I find it so offensive. To take a work of art like that and try to copy it is like trying to imitate the Mona Lisa."
I agree, and I’m sure many other people do too. If I get enough signatures on this petition I will send it to Michael Bay and/or Universal Studios. Please sign!
