Cornwall Council is penalising innocent van owners in order to prevent other van owners from sleeping in their vans. This is not how we do things in a free country. So if you turn up for a run or walk the dog at 7 am or surf at 8.45 you can get a ticket. Or if you want like any car user the right to park outside your house you will get a ticket.
We cannot tolerate this sort of behaviour from people we essentially employ. Who is this for? It's Cornwall we surf hence we often choose a van as a mode of transport, that's ok not something to be punished for. Surfers are healthy, we take up less NHS money we actually should be subsidised if you wanted to encourage such superior behaviour.
For a healthy country free parking on beaches needs to be encouraged, the same goes for parks in towns.
We the undersigned feel it is unfair to penalise me for the crime of another, namely sleeping in vans at south Fistral.
This is clearly against the interests of law abiding van owners and should not have the backing of parliament, the police and judiciary.
