We Sri Lankans are an independant country and we are not in need of a bridge to connect India to Sri Lanka.
The bridge proposed is purely for the benefit of India. We are not in need of another political or cultural or racial war in the country.
This project will not be a benefit for the country rather a loss for Sri Lanka. Comparing the population of India and Sri Lanka if even a 5% jobless population from India arrived to Sri Lanka this would be a loss and create poverty in the country.
We do request the President, The Prime Minister and all the responsible bodies not to accept the contact or go ahead with this project.
It is simply a No!
