Don't Ban Greyhound Racing in N.S.W

What a joke banning greyhound racing in nsw due to cruelty. Do they realise what they have done. The amount of greyhounds that will be destroyed in the next 12 months will be a lot worse than what they are banning the industry for. And It won't be done humanely because unlike the horse racing industry "the sport of kings" a lot of the greyhound owners are battlers and everyday people who do it for the love and for the thrill of breeding a winner and won't be able to afford to pay a vet.

Having owned and raced greyhounds myself I can honestly say Greyhounds are cared for better than most domestic dogs. After racing they have a hydro bath , massage and muscle work checked for any injuries , swim and daily minerals and supplements in a stable diet. They are born to race and love it , they get so excited on race day. Unfortunately there are a lot of unscrupulous people in the game but there are a lot more genuine and fair dinkum people as well.

Mike Baird you have no idea what you have done and obviously not thought it through. Does he honestly believe that thousands of greyhounds and pups will get adopted out. Hope you can sleep at night because you are going to have a lot of blood on your hands from this so called historic decision.
