I've lived in this neighborhood for over 48 years and never had a problem with the freight trains stopped and blocking the street except in the past 2 years.
My job requires that I get to work promptly and not be late. I can't do this with the trains blocking the street I take to work every morning. When this happens you have to go the long way to Mannheim Road from Pacific. Then the traffic is all blocked up because it's a busy street to get on to. There are no traffic lights so you have your school buses, trucks, cabs, cars, vans etc. all lined up to turn maybe about 20 cars to wait until it's your turn. By then my day starts off very badly and I'm stressed out.
I called the Police Department several times all they can tell me is the same thing over and over again that they are monitoring the situation. They have nothing else to tell me except that. So there is still a problem. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

We the undersigned do not want the street of Pacific and Scott or Ruby and 25th street blocked off by a freight train stopped. In an emergency there is no way to
get over those train tracks.
